Finally watched Nick Griffin on Question Time. I may not be the most politcally knowledgable man on the planet but even I can see he is an absolute idiot. I know politicians are good at not actually answering questions but he made it into an art form. Jack Straw was almost as impresive though.
His comment of "A lot of people find the idea of two grown men kissing really creepy" did disgust me but agree with the audience member that the feeling is mutual! |

It's been a while...well a few weeks anyway.
Not much to update with
- Still living in Glasgow by myself and absolutely loving it - Working away in a call centre job that I actually sorta kinda like. - Had a fab night with my folks and Phillipa (brothers girlfriend) for a Eurovision extravaganza...amazing night! - Being more sociable on my days off and I live round the corner from Kelvingrove Park which is great for walks!
So all in all, life est good. |

Online journals are little filters that we each see every one else's lives through, the parts others choose to share with us. That said, we all think we are close, but really we seldom know *a lot* about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away
Did my last backshift shift last night. Back to normal next week, doing overtime from 7am-9am as it's at double time. Hehe. I was actually offered half11-8 on double time. But I just didn't fancy it. I like my evenings and I like finishing at half 5. The money would be lovely but I've missed my evenings. Not planning on much this weekend except lazing about and watching tv. I should really go into town so I can get my mum's birthday present/halloween costume for work. |

Waaa
I've been ill all weekend. Must have eaten some dodgy chicken or something cos I feel like death. Was sick all friday night and basically unable to move all weekend. I'm feeling slightly better now but still a bit off. Called in sick to work today (i feel guilty about calling in sick but I couldn't possibly have the energy to move that far) - I'm starting to feel hungry again though so that is good.
Not much else to report - October already. Looking forward to my week off at the beginning of Novermber.
I also wish the Royal Mail wouldn't decide to go on strike the week that I am having a new debit card delivered as I thought I had lost mine (which I found about 2 hours after cancelling it). It's sad that I feel empty without it. I'm gonna try and do some housework. or at least some laundry and have a shower as I feel all unclean and horrible.

A. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B. Tag seven people to do the same.
C. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it."
1. I would love to live in a Jane Austen novel
2. Whenever I sing or dance to myself, in my mind I'm on stage at the Royal Albert Hall
3. I used to be able to scream so high that it made me sound like a 7 year old girl
4, I have over 10,000 songs on my I-pod
5. My first role in my Higher Drama class was as a gay pop star who had an affair with his married manager
6. I had a dream about a dishwasher last night
7. I'm very proud of my degree but I think my dissertation was terrible.
Is it worrying that I really struggled to come with seven even vaguely fascinating things?

Well, there's nothing like joining the bandwagon so here I go with ten of my favourite songs that begin with the letter 'M' - Anyone who wants to play too, leave me a comment and I'll give you a letter!!
I'm gonna be mocked sooo badly for some of the songs in this list....
Made It Back - Beverley Knight "Never doubted for a second that i'd do it on my own, and I held on to my corner, trusted in the things I know"
My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion "Far across the distance, and spaces between us, you have come to show you go on"
My Own Home - (from The Jungle Book) "Father's hunting in the forest, Mother's cooking in the home I must go to fetch the water, till the day that I'm grown"
My Number One - Helena Paparizou "In your arms forever and I won't forget it Say you'll miss me, come and kiss me, take me up to heaven and you won't regret it
Maria - from West Side Story "Maria, say it loud and there's music playing, say it soft and it's almost like praying. Maria, I'll never stop saying Maria. "
My Favourite Things - Julie Andrews "Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes, snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes, silver white winters that melt into springs, these are a few of my favourite things." - It could hardly be my list without a song from the Sound Of Music could it :D
Mandy - Barry Manilow "The night goes into morning just another day, happy people pass my way Looking in their eyes, I see a memory, I never realised how happy you made me"
Misled - Celine Dion "Just a page in my story, just another one of those mysteries, one more lover that used to be, if you think you're in my head, you've been seriously misled"
Maybe This Time - Liza Minelli "Not a loser any more, like the last time and the time before Everybody loves a winner, so nobody loved me, Lady peaceful, Lady happy, that's what I long to be Well all the odds are, they are in my favour Something's bound to begin "
Maria - from The Sound Of Music "She climbs a tree and scrapes her knee, her dress has got a tear She waltzes on her way to mass and whistles on the stair And underneath her wimple she has curlers in her hair I've even heard her singing in the abbey!"
It's amazing how many of these songs are musical theatre based. And how probably every song on this list would never appear on any of my friends' list! :D |

Back in Dunfermline for the weekend. Though am feeling under the weather, ate something that didn't agree with me and I'm in bed feeling sorry for myself. But am getting hungry, which is a good sign.
Loving the new shifts, 9-5:30, home by 6. Wonderful. Got trained on all the computer systems so I can now do timesheets, book holidays, do all the e-maily type things so it's all good. It's the same job with a bit extra responsibility which is always good.
Not much else to report. Have booked myself a week off on the 13th-17th August so i'll have about 9 days away from work, so excited!!
Hope everyone is well. |

Good morning folks
After avoiding the internet like the plague, I have now finished Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows. Like Hannah said, it was a bit slow to start off with but once it got going, I couldn't put it down. And I liked the way she ended it.
As much as I adore Harry Potter, it's kind of nice to have it come to an end. I've been reading them for about 6 years (and I was a late starter) so it's good to know how just how it ends. Fantastic,
Starting my new shift today, yay. No more sucky split shifts for me!! :D xxx |

My team manager handed me a letter this morning, which always gets me worried! hehe. But it was a good thing. Sort of.
"I am writing to congratulate you as you have met the criteria to be invited to join the Smart team. We have identified that you have shown over a period of time to have the exemplary standards and qualities with regard to your performance, attitude and approachto your role. In addition to the first class behaviours you have demonstrated your Operatuions Manager has personally recommended you for this fantastic opportunity"
Basically, the Smart Team is the team without a team leader who are kinda the best agents in the call centre. The hours are 9 to 5:30 which is fabulous - that's the best bit about it. But it is very flattering indeed. The team is mainly made up of people who've been here for years and I've been invited after 7 months!!
But to not have to do a split shift ever again, yay!!! :D |

Hey thwre everyone
It's been an age since I updated. So here's just a quick update
- Still working at TSC, my team leader has been showering me with praise though and thinks that maybe in a couple months we could start thinking about training me to look after the team sometimes when my team leader is away.
- I'm still not fully moved out of my old room but the living room is getting there.
- Been without internet for about 2 weeks. It's amazing how empty I felt without it. That makes me sound very sad.
- As long as she's feeling better, I'm going to a midnight opening on Fri 20th/Sat 21st July with Kirsty and Ciaran for the release of the new Harry Potter book. So excited. Me, a loser? Never!! :P
- My brother has graduated uni! With a 2:2. Despite failing his dissertation, he managed to get enough credits to gain a degree. That'll teach him for handing it in 2 weeks late. Hehe. But at the age of 25, he's now a university graduate. According to my mum, his graduation ceremony was mostly in Latin and very traditional and they had to half a dozen things when they called out their name. I was nervous enough with being capped by Diana Rigg, shaking the hands with the Principal and picking up my certificate. Hehe
- Halfway through the year already. Unbelievable. |

hey there folks
Not been much happening lately, so not much to update with
- Won Agent of the Month at work for improved quality and stats. I won a box of chocolates.
- Ross has now moved out and the Landlord has agreed to just have me and David so we are turning my old room into a living room and I'm still in the process of moving things from one room to the other.
- Work is as fun as ever. But feeling bettter now that my stats and things have improved.
That's about it really. |

| | Sava Tavares - Chammar A Musica | ] | It's the weekend again, yay! And as a special bonus I've got Monday off! There were two holidays going spare so I took one and I now have a long weekend. I'll have to make it worthwhile but, as my team leader says to me, not to tell the 'you can't shag a personality' chap anything about my weekend.
This week he's already - tried to get me in the sweepstake they are having about who can pull this girl that works there. - ask me if i'd shag one girl that was walking past our pod - and if i'd 'fucked' anyone else's girlfriend's lately?
Isn't he just a delightful soul? But as of next week, we'll be sitting other ends of the pods as my team leader has changed the seating plan again which I'm kinda glad of. I mean he is a nice guy, even if his views on women annoy me, but I have to ask the customer to repeat everything they say cos he's shouting in my ear!
Going to Linlithgow this afternoon, fabulous. Can't wait to see Becca, haven't seen her in about 9 months!! |

More disgustingness from work...
I mentioned foolishly on Friday that I was going to see Kirsty this weekend for dinner and that her boyfriend was away and they were teasing me all evening about "getting my leg over" and "while the cat's away". I can't tell if they were being serious or not. As you may have guessed, I haven't mentioned that I'm gay. It would be no point and it would just cause uncomfortable-ness for me.
This morning I've been asked all morning. But the most disgusting thing ever was said when I was laughing and calling him disgusting and then he said (and I quote)
"Hey, I'm not the one stirring another man's porridge"
That actually might be the most vile thing I have ever heard uttered. He then proceeded to ask if I'd made a pass at her..."One for the team!!"
I didn't realise people like him actually existed outside of high school!! |
